Liam is a construction and commercial lawyer with over 3 years’ experience across the full project lifecycle, from contract preparation and negotiation through to dispute resolution. He advises contractors, developers, government bodies and private clients on a broad range of matters, including the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts, procurement documentation, infrastructure project suites and commercial agreements across both standard form and bespoke frameworks. Liam also has experience advising local government clients on complex infrastructure developments, including long-term lease and development tender processes involving detailed rent structuring and planning considerations.
Liam has a strong background in construction disputes, regularly advising builders, developers and owners on building defect claims, Security of Payment adjudications and commercial litigation strategy. He has assisted contractors in preparing payment claims and adjudication applications, and has experience in Local, District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales, including proceedings involving claims under the Home Building Act 1989 and the Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020. Liam also maintains a broader commercial practice, advising on commercial disputes, governance and commercial agreements across a range of industries and client types.
Admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales in 2021, Liam holds a Master of Laws (Corporate and Commercial Law) from Maastricht University and a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from Macquarie University.
