Yan is a lawyer who is well regarded by his peers and has distinguished himself in practice in devising the most practical and commercially driven solutions for his clients in both transactional and litigation matters.

Working with one of Sydney’s largest real estate agencies and acting for leading residential property developers, Yan has gained valuable industry knowledge of the property market, providing investment options for over 50 off-the-plan projects. As a trusted advisor Yan assisted thousands of private clients, many of whom were first home buyers (foreign and local) in finding their ideal homes in the Australian market, dealing with a wide range of issues relating to stamp duty, FIRB, surcharge duty and first home benefits.

 

Yan works in Kreisson’s property team assisting clients with:

  • Easements and/or Covenants;
  • Conveyancing – buying and selling property;
  • Strata and Community Titles;
  • Old system title issues;
  • Torrens title;
  • Co-ownership;
  • Mortgages;
  • Equitable interests;

  • Trusts and other issues that arise in property or development transactions.

Yan’s experience also extends to family law and the Family Court system which has seen him involved in drafting motions, pleadings, enforcing agreements and when required, negotiations on behalf of clients to encourage an early resolution of disputes.

Yan is an executive member of the Asian Australian Lawyer’s Association and has contributed to publications to the New South Wales Young Lawyers Committee.
